I was born and raised in central O‘ahu in Wahiawā, and have lived on the North Shore since 1993, where I found Yoga as a physical practice to complement an active beach lifestyle. I first started practicing with Yoga Journal VHS tapes. I found the North Shore Yoga Co-op in the early 2000s when I bought a home in Waialua. It was during that time of practicing at the Co-op where Yoga became more than a workout. My practice evolved from vigorous vinyāsa, to prenatal yoga, to mommy-and-me yoga. Not only is North Shore Yoga Co-Op a beautiful space to study and practice yoga, it is also a great place where I’ve cultivated friendships and connected with my community.

I have worked in construction related sales since 1996, and during a very busy period as a working mom, I fell away from a steady yoga practice. In 2018, in a state of burnout, I reconnected with yoga and began studying to become a teacher. After completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training, I began teaching beginner yoga at fitness gyms on O'ahu and with private clients. I am currently studying for my 500-hour certification and am honored to return to North Shore Yoga Co-op as an instructor.

In addition to yoga, I enjoy golf, Pilates, working out at the gym, and going to the beach with my daughter Lauren. Yoga has supported me throughout my journey in life, and I believe that yoga as a physical and spiritual practice is beneficial to everyone no matter what their current physical abilities are. I strive to make the practice of yoga accessible and practical for everyone.
